Lights for Freedom - What came next

In 2016, 22 artists used the Astro Eclipse wall light as a blank canvas to express their idea of 'freedom'. The art was later sold at a silent auction raising over $25,000 for Mexican charity Pro Mujeres Cautivas and their work in supporting female prisoners.

'Lights for Freedom' and the money raised has enabled the charity to improve the support and rehabilitation they provide female prisoners in Mexico. Below is what happened following the event...

Christmas dinner was organised for 250 women.
250 quilts were donated for the cold weather.

January 2017

February 2017

20 new sewing machines were added to workshops.
50 rolls of material were bought to make reusable bags to sell.

March 2017

A new sewing workshop was set up to create garments to later sell.
